New Adventure Tours and Culture Tours – Attention beer lovers, thrill seekers and history buffs!

Hello, world! Nygel here, chief blogger and second tour-guide at Roots and Vines. Welcome back, to the most prestigious touring blog on the interwebs!

Great news – we are unveiling four new tours! We’re excited to get the word out, and invite everyone to come along. As we like to say at R&V, “Everyone needs a little TLC,” and around here, that stands for “Taste, Laugh, Connect.”
Some of our best memories have been the days when we grab some good peeps, hit the road, soak in the sunshine, and hit up our favourite wineries, breweries, and restaurants. Food and drink with good humans – thats what its all about!
All the hours we put into our day jobs are worth it in the end, to facilitate these afternoons of laughing, conversing, and enjoying life. So get on board, Kelowna!

WE GOT YOU.

We know that food, drink, and friends is the icing on the cake of life, and that’s why we want to let you know about four new tours! We’ve been hard at work in the lab, behind the scenes, cooking up highly sophisticated and expertly calibrated wine tours to facilitate a kick-ass experience for every kind of event: girls trips, family reunions, researching wine selections for weddings, celebrating a new job, making a good impression on the future in-laws, ringing in the new season, hosting friends who are visiting from out of town, being from out of town and visiting friends in the Okanagan, bachelor parties, bachelorette parties, corporate events, or just the fact that it’s a beautiful Saturday afternoon and the countryside is calling! You name it, we have the right tour for your needs.

Today, I want to talk a little bit more about the last one: Brews, Bruises and BBQ.

Most wine tours are a relaxing affair, luxurious even, but one day we asked,”could they be something more?” What if we combined wine-touring with outdoor activity, making a full day of it? The Adventure Tours were born to provide something for the active types: the adventurers and thrill-seekers which are plentiful in the valley. After all, the Okanagan is the “four seasons playground” for a reason, and that means people come from all over for the canoeing, kayaking, camping, cycling, rock climbing, snowboarding, and water sports. So what about those people? So we put together the Adventure Tours series, pairing wine with kayaking, snowshoeing, mountain biking, ziplining, and now (*drum roll, please*), paintballing.
We’re calling it “Brews, Bruises, and BBQ,” and it includes a paintballing session at Safari Ridge, tastings at 3 local breweries, and a BBQ platter at Memphis Blues Barbecue House. Now that’s extreme!

This ain’t your grandmother’s tour, and it’s not for the faint of heart, but perfect if wine isn’t your thing and you like having fun. If you’re in charge of the bachelor/bachelorette party – this is a home run for you, pal. Take home some bruises as souvenirs (just enough physical punishment to keep up appearances), and then revel in all the gourmet, smoky goodness of going to town on a BBQ platter and crushing some craft brewskis with your homeboys/girls.

Until next time, friends.
See you on the trail!
